TEATRO VIVO – A SHOW FOR SHEPPEY
Teatro Vivo was commissioned by Ideas Test to collect people’s thoughts and ideas on what a play about the Isle of Sheppey should be.
Throughout June 2026, Teatro Vivo’s Usherettes visited communities across Eastchurch, Leysdown, Sheerness and Queenborough, chatting to local people and asking, “What should a play about Sheppey include?”
This was followed by an open session at The Criterion Blue Town in Sheerness, where people used drama and music to explore ideas for a new play.
Teatro Vivo also ran sessions in local schools and community spaces, giving people across Sheppey further opportunities to have their say on what the show should be.
A sharing event at Sheppey Little Theatre then brought the ideas together, giving local people the opportunity to vote on which idea could be developed into an exciting immersive production next year.
