Listen to Dani Osoba’s amazing song, Heart Of Medway – inspired by your contributions to our Medway Fun Palace stall.
Behind the song
On the first weekend of October, people come together across the country to take part in Fun Palaces, an annual celebration of culture at the heart of community, using arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities to bring people together.
In Medway, Nucleus Arts organised Medway Fun Palace at The Pentagon Shopping Centre, Chatham and included local organisations and groups such as Historic Dockyard Chatham, Medway Pride Radio, Animate Arts – and the Ideas Test team!
We brought artist and musician Dani Osoba to help us find out what you love about Medway – and you didn’t disappoint us!
Over 130 of you stopped by our stall to chat, write and draw your favourite Medway Moments, which Dani then used to inspire the lyrics of her song, Heart Of Medway.
Dani Makes Waves…
Dani is not only an artist and musician who has performed across Medway, but has also been taking part in our Make Waves programme this year.
Make Waves was a year-long programme for young people based in Medway to develop as young producers, and was funded and supported by Creative Estuary, Medway Council, Kent County Council and Icon Theatre.
