YAK Dance are bringing New York to your doorstep with their true story about a young boy growing up in the ghettos of the Bronx.
Who are YAK…?
You Already Know.
Come along and enjoy the live show designed and acted out through dance, art and music by local children.
YAK and the young dance Crew have been working hard behind the scenes to offer you, the audience, a chance to experience a real life story told in a unique and magical way.
Teflon was brought up in poverty and hardship and had a terrible double tragedy early on in his life which drew him near to the edge and he leaned towards all the wrong and dangerous offerings life put in front of him.
Fortunately he discovered dance through chance and threw himself into an original special style of American breakdancing which ultimately saved his life.
One of the last of his crew to learn, he is now one of the best.
YAK Dance are an American formed family street style of dancers; although Teflon ventured across the great pond one day and formed a young crew. Born into a long tradition of historic dancers and hip hop history the young crew were given the name YAK…
Youth Acquiring Knowledge
The idea is brought to you with the help of many, volunteers, kind hands and the Ideas Test team.
YAK is a local group who spread the word of healthy and active lifestyles, positive movements and making the right choice. They are worldwide and also small and family orientated.
Without the support of their fans, followers and of course loyal crew members across the world, they would not be able to offer you these amazing performances you cannot see anywhere else.
