We’re raising money to expand our Hidden Lands co-commission to create a piece of art the whole public can enjoy at Milton Creek Country Park in Sittingbourne – and we need your help!
We’re raising money on Spacehive – The platform for funding local projects.

About Hidden Lands
With Hidden Lands, our co-commission with Creative Estuary at Milton Creek Country Park, Sittingbourne, we’ve already;
- Seen sculptor Patrick Walls be chosen from 30 artists by a community panel
- Worked with Patrick to deliver six stone carving workshops at Milton Creek Country Park and at Regis Manor Primary School.
- Shown the community carvings at an exhibition at Swale Media Arts Centre in Sittingbourne in early June 2022.
- Patrick is now using the designs created by the community to create stone benches to be installed in the park in September 2022.
Our next ambition is to raise funding for Patrick to run a number of community workshops, which will inspire the creation of a large scale artwork the whole community of Swale can enjoy.
This will involve the looking at locally sourced materials which reflect Milton Creek’s rich history of paper and brick manufacturing and the use of Thames Barges with freight along the creek and Estuary.
This artwork will be an ambitious sculpture that can be viewed from the roadside and will become a highlight of the area – Sittingbourne’s own ‘Angel of the North’.
