The first of the ‘1915: then and now‘ free art workshops is happening this Thursday 10am -11am in Blue Town. The competition is aimed at young people (13-25yrs old), however parents and families can also take part in the workshops.
1915: then and now is a project aiming to inspire young people (aged 13-25 years old) across Swale to be actively involved in making a visual art response to the first world war and learn how it impacted on life in Swale both during 1915 and thereafter. The project is being delivered by Ideas test, in partnership with Swale Borough Council, and South East Museum Development Programme.
Participants will learn about their local history and discover new ways of responding creatively with the help of professional local artists.
