Start Up Slam Job Club is a 4-day half-term programme that will run from Tuesday 13th February to Friday 16th February at No.34, Sittingbourne.
Funded by Kent County Council, it aims to engage young people aged 14 -16 with creative entrepreneurship.
Using creative methodologies and practices drawn from cookery and back-drop scenery making, young people will learn soft skills and help to generate ideas for what they might like to pursue in the future.
The young people will learn the skills required to scale up and create back-drop scenery by abstract artist Tina Aitchison-Thomas, who exhibited in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2017.
They will also learn a number of creative writing skills from spoken word and performance poets Alex Vellis & Henry Maddicott.
Corinne Goodman, from Corinne’s Kitchen, will teach creative cookery skills and they will create their own pizza & healthy eating dips.
To finish the week Freya Briley will lead a fun and interactive session on exam & revision skills.
There are only 15 spaces available and applicants will be invited in for a short, informal interview.
