Young At HeArt: THEATRE CLUB – Sherlock Holmes and the Crimson Cobbles

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are called upon to investigate the Whitechapel Murders. From the company behind Stones in His Pockets, this witty pastiche takes on this classic story of one of the darkest times in Victorian History.

Opera House Next Door – Vocal Fireworks

Opera House Next Door are inviting participants to come along to a series of interactive workshops to help develop & design their forthcoming new opera production.
Vocal fireworks – In this workshop we will find out a bit more about how to use our own voices for the purposes of expression and narrative, and we will consider some of the ways in which composers have written for the human voice and what sort of response they are hoping to provoke in audiences.

Telling Stories – In this workshop we will look at ways to tell stories using theatre and operatic practice. What stories make for good operatic material? Where might theatre happen (other than in a theatre itself)? Where should the audience be sitting/standing?
