Sea Folk Sing 2019

Sea Folk Sing is a two year production by Ideas Test and SparkedEcho, exploring North Kent’s maritime and folklore history through singing.

This could be you! Be part of the Sea Folk Sing Tour 2019.

We’re looking for people to sing at our Sea Folk Sing 2019 Tour.

You can sing as part of a group and perform brand new songs across Gravesend, Gillingham and Sheerness this November.

No experience needed!

You don’t have to be a ‘singer’ or know how to read music.
You just have to have the enthusiasm and the time to come to rehearsals.

Who can take part?

Sea Folk Sing is open to anyone over 18, but we’re especially looking for people aged 55+.

When and where are the rehearsals?

Rehearsals are every Sunday during October.
These will be on 6, 13, 20, 26* and 27 October during 10am and 4pm at Nucleus HeART, Unit 67, Pentagon Shopping Centre, Chatham.

How do I take part?

Just email or call us, or turn up on Sunday 6 October.
You can call/text us on 07713 865955.
Email Sarah or Kevin at

There are other ways that you can get involved too…

Are you interested in volunteering? We’d love to hear from you! We’ll have chances for you to gain experience of working on a live music production, including stewarding the performances, as well as other roles.

Email to register your interest in volunteering.

Are you a company based in Medway or Swale and are interested in sponsoring the production? Our Sea Folk Sing performances will be ambitious and profile-raising in nature.

You’ll also be making a contribution to older people’s wellbeing in North Kent by sponsoring performances.

We have a number of opportunities that could enhance your social responsibility profile and help you reach new audiences.
