Sphero Robot Racing Workshop with Su Adams

11th February 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

£10

What do guttering, a robotic ball, a circuit board and tin foil have in common? STEM Fun!

If your children are interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), this workshop at No34 on February 11, 2017, is the one to head to.

Come to No 34 and help to build a robot race track with interactions for Sphero, the robotic ball. What will Sphero trigger as it passes down your track? Will it be sound action, or maybe control a computer character? Perhaps you will create a timer so you can see how fast Sphero can get around the track!

In this workshop, run by experienced educator Su Adams from U Can Too, you will work with others to build a solution, make simple electronic switches, program interactions triggered by switches on the track and control Sphero the robotic ball.

As well as the skills that are being directly taught, such as circuits, programming and so on, there will be lots of opportunities to gain soft skills like team work, communication of ideas and good ways to collaborate.

The Robot Racing Workshop is on Saturday 11, from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Places are limited and cost £10 per child.
