Material Conversations: Live Making with Matt Bray & Wendy Daws
March 10 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pmFree
Kent artists Matt Bray and Wendy Daws will create an exploratory work of art live at Ideas Test for the project Material Conversations.
The artists will use latex, colour pigment and threads to create a three-dimensional textured drawing that will then hang in the window for the duration of the exhibition.
This is an incredible opportunity to see an artwork being created live in the moment!
Come along to witness this exciting collaboration between two brilliant artists.
Matt Bray is an artist and curator whose work explores the relationship between two parallel dichotomies; the subject / object divide as it pertains to consciousness, and abstraction / figuration within painting. Currently, as a way of expanding his practice to include new mediums he has begun a series of experimental collaborations with other artists.
Wendy Daws is an artist and creative practitioner based in Medway. She has always been fascinated by different materials, what they can do, and how they can be used in interesting ways. Wendy is well known for her inspiring and highly creative participatory work with marginalised groups, notably visually impaired and older people.
