FAVi Activities Season: Tapestry

Creek Creative Studios supported by Ideas Test are proud to announce ‘Faversham Abbey Virtually illuminated’ (FAVi) for 2015:
FAVi Activities: Tapestry- Thursdays 2-6pm 3rd and 10th September, 9am-1pm and 2-6pm 24th September and 1st October.
FAVI Exhibition: 6th October to 1st November (Creek Creative)
FAVi Lantern Procession: 7pm-8pm 24th October (Meet at Guildhall)
FAVi Light Sculpture Event: 8pm- 9pm 24th October (QE School field)
All good people of Faversham and the realms beyond are hereby invited to a spectacular event, which will illuminate the site of the once great St. Saviour’s Abbey that served the historic market town from 1148-1538.
In preparation everyone is welcome to attend the Faversham Abbey Virtually Illuminated (FAVi) season of medieval craft workshops and talks on tapestry, pottery, music, lantern making, stained glass and icon painting and Abbey history which will run from September 3rd, and the FAVi exhibition at Creek Creative from October 6th to November 1st 2015.
At 7pm on October 24th 2015 a public lantern procession, starting at the Guildhall in Market Square, will lead to a dramatic revelation in light and sound at 8pm, in the Queen Elizabeth School playing fields, where the Abbey once stood.
