DIS-Quiet: Online Streaming Platforms Workshop & Sharing Event

July 10 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

At this DIS-quiet special online Workshop, you’ll learn more about the world on online music streaming.

From Spotify to Soundcloud, you can find out more about how you can get your music or podcast online and into people’s ears!

Plus – if you’ve been to ANY of our DIS-Quiet 2020 sessions you can share what you’ve made with us.

DIS-Quiet is our music project for 14 to 25s. It’s an online place where you can learn new things at an easy pace, make friends and have a good time.

Music is one of the safe places where you can reveal and learn more about your emotions and feelings.

Music is also an escape where you can relax and enjoy ourselves.

And most of all – Music is fun!

Information for Parents and Carers:

DIS-Quiet is Ideas Test’s music and wellbeing project for young people aged between 14 to 25.

All DIS-Quiet sessions are on the video chat and conference platform Zoom.
You will need to download the Zoom app to your computer, smartphone, tablet or laptop, plus have an internet connection to join in.

If you have any issues in accessing a device or with an internet connection, please do contact us so we can try to support you on this.

About the sessions

Each DIS-Quiet session will take place in a ‘private room’ on Zoom.
This is so we can make it safe for everyone taking part.
To help with security, we will only let Young People that complete registration in advance to access the sessions.
Before the session starts, they will receive individual Zoom links and Passwords by email. They will have to join in with their names, rather than usernames or online aliases.
When they click into the session, they will be taken to a virtual waiting room, so our team can confirm their names and accept them in the sessions.
In every session, there will be a Support Worker to address and help in any issues.
Sessions will also be recorded for the safety of the young people involved.
This will not be shared publicly or broadcast without your prior consent.

Signing up to DIS-Quiet

Parents/Carers/Young People have to contact our Youth Programme Manager, Pedro Vaz, BEFORE taking part in DIS-quiet.
Registration forms and safeguarding policies will be sent to them to be completed and agreed.

We are happy to book individual sessions with any parents, carers or young people over 18 to answer any questions you might have, any tech issues you may experience and to explain how to access and all our safeguarding procedures in detail.
