Digital Tattoo at Oasis Academy Community Theatre
12th June 2017 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 pm£8
Cross-genre dance artist Katie Dale-Everett brings her work Digital Tattoo to the Oasis Academy Community Theatre on Monday 12 June at 7pm, followed by a post show Q&A.
“How many hours do you spend on social media every day? If your phone is never off, then Digital Tattoo will raise some awkward questions. But if you’ve ever posted a selfie while you were drunk, stoned or naked or all three simultaneously you need to see this. On prescription!”
Brighton Source Magazine.
Mixing dance and digital light, ‘Digital Tattoo’ reveals the story of two lovers, the capturing of their relationship through social media and their struggle for the right to be forgotten. Set in our society increasingly obsessed with social gratification, connivence and share-ability, the work questions privacy, identity, perception and control in the increasingly digitalised world we live in, exposing the permanence of our online actions and questioning the identity of both the physical and virtual self.
Ideas Test will also be showing two other pieces of work from Katie Dale-Everett Dance: a short film –Digital Tattoo: Artefact 1, and a interactive performance – Conversations About the Digital on Saturday 10 June and Tuesday 13 June.
Digital Tattoo, followed by a Q&A with Katie Dale Everett, is at Oasis Academy Community Theatre, Isle Of Sheppey on Monday 12 June at 7pm.
Tickets are £8 for Adults, £6 for Students, and groups of 10+ can buy tickets for £5 per person.
