Delightful and strangely moving” – Audience member

Moving Memory Dance Theatre Company are a punchy dance theatre company that create hugely enjoyable, high quality performance opportunities for older women. Celebrating the vitality of participants and challenging views of being an ‘old’ woman, The company provides a platform for those voices to be heard via movement, music and digital projection. Moving Memory consider the funny side of things, the stuff of life, and all that moves people. The core performance company, Moving Memory, have worked alongside the Artistic Director, Sian Stevenson, for five years, producing over ten performance projects which have toured to many venues around the South East. Audiences have been enthused by the unexpected approach of older women being human, not old, producing work that is daring, funny, and moving, attracting an enthusiastic following stretching across all ages, male and female.

Coming to your streets soon:

Cracking the Crinoline – a short, sharp, surprising sting.  Combining crinolines, corsets and boxing boots, these Queen B’s remind us not to take little old ladies for granted.  Join them for a performance that is uplifting, life enhancing, and will leave you reaching for your Marigolds.

Belles with Balls – show time with a twist. Moving Memory trip the light fantastic, to question who is the most beautiful of all. Think Tutus, bling, and increasingly large head dresses.

Hard – a comic commentary on the world of Marketing. Inspired by the might of Wonder Woman they fight for your rights in their blue satin tights.
